Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on extensive experience of working with children in their formative years. It is broken down into four phases, organised across the seven areas of learning featured in the English Early Years curriculum. The programme enables kindergarten teachers to fully understand the needs of children, ensuring they make rapid progress. Within the phases, kindergarten teachers can see what each child can do and through careful assessment, identify their small next learning steps, which is tailor-made to ensure each child has no gaps in their learning and development.

Red Panda has designed its curriculum around children’s phases of development, starting from birth, under the headings of the English Early Years Curriculum. The programme of work will allow kindergarten teachers to develop and create a unique curriculum for each child through tailored planning of interests and abilities, thus ensuring all pupils make rapid and sustainable progress.

Assessment

Effective assessment is central to planning for improvement. Teachers use assessment every day to check on the progress of children. It helps teachers to know whether the planned learning has had the desired impact on achievement. It is important for leaders to understand assessment data in order to develop strategic plans for future improvement. Our consultants are experts in planning appropriate assessment systems for kindergarten, primary and high school that fit into the curriculum and help to raise academic and personal outcomes.

Beth allowed me to remember what an outstanding Early Years classroom should look like and supported me to provide an outstanding curriculum to each and every child.

Kate Ward, Head of Early Years

Beth transformed how we educate our children, providing a tailored curriculum and an outstanding learning environment.

Sarah James, Head of Early Years

Beth was recruited by the Headteacher of a two-form entry primary school where the Foundation Stage was inadequate. This was turned around in the first year and by the second reached outstanding. Staff were fully equipped and motivated to be able to provide high quality learning opportunities for all children whilst working alongside the rest of the school.

Jo Weatherall, Headteacher

The training and consultancy that Beth completed at St Mary’s was invaluable. Teaching and learning improved from inadequate to outstanding and it enabled the school to continue a culture of complete change and improvement.

Amanda McGarrigle, Headteacher

Beth was Head of Early Years at Future Creative for 5 years and during this time her work was outstanding. She devised and lead our Early Years training programme and consultancy offer. She supported Early Years clients large and small to develop teaching and learning, enabling sustainable improvement with high quality outcomes for babies and children.

Esme Chilton, CEO, Future Creative

Beth proved an invaluable help to us when we were launching our new Nursery at St Gabriel’s. Her subsequent advice and training proved extremely useful and was greatly valued by our nursery team.  Beth has that enviable mix of an exceptional knowledge of regulatory compliance and the very latest EYFS best practice. I recommend Beth without reservation.
